A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTORS

Its 7:30pm on a Friday night in late June, in an alternate suburban reality…

This show is about love. Love and relationships in their many forms. Love is ridiculous, heartbreaking, rejuvenating, scary, but most of all hopeful. Throughout the show, John Cariani seeks to explore the course of love which, as we know, never did run smooth. What drew all of us to this show is its honesty. We watch as this play explores how individuals collectively and separately experience love. In many languages there are multiple words used to express love. However, English only has the one, despite the ebbs and flows that exist within the experience of love. As a directing team we wanted to explore the spectrum of love in order to expand upon the singular term. All of the student actors and technicians have welcomed us and this play with open arms which made this entire process so wonderful. We want to thank Dr. Chrismon for his guidance, the cast and crew for their hard work and dedication, and finally Mr. Webb who has taught and supported us throughout this entire process. We could not have done any of this without him.

Thank you for coming to support U-High theatre, and enjoy the show! Clean up on Aisle 9!
